Residenza Roccamaggiore

RESIDENZA ROCCAMAGGIORE

Residenza Roccamaggiore is the ideal place for your holidays in Verona, just 5 minutes away from Piazza Delle Erbe and the Teatro Romano.

In the magnificent setting of a sixteenth-century building, right in the heart of the neighbourhood Veronetta, the Residenza is an ancient property of family Carton. Its vertical structure, with a loggia on the last floor, explains its original purpose: historically, the building was a sighting tower to control all the traffics on the river Adige, the heart of life in ancient Verona.

Today the building still preserves all its beauty, enhanced by the recent restoration in accordance with all the conservative criteria and the use of organic materials to faithfully convey the characteristics of the architectonic structure. The external loggia, the balconies, the façade decors and the internal frescoes in some of the apartments make the Residenza Roccamaggiore the perfect place to spend a holiday absorbed in the evocative atmosphere of Verona’s city centre.

Residenza Roccamaggiore: history standing by our side.

THE APARTMENTS OF THE RESIDENZA

The open-space apartments of the Residenza Roccamaggiore have a kitchen, an ensuite bathroom with window, a balcony, and partition walls that separate the sleeping area from the living area. The apartments have oak beamed ceilings, Palladian floors and, in some cases, frescoes.

All apartments are located on the first or second floor of the Residenza: some of them with double beds, others with double beds and single or double studio couches.
